VOTE: WHO DESERVES THE 2010 MLS MVP AWARD?

25 10 2010

THANK YOU, FANS

23 10 2010

Well, the regular season ends today in a drama filled weekend that will determine many records… who holds the Supporters Shield and who we’ll face in the playoffs.

On a busy season that had us rack up miles seeing different parts of the world, to playing numerous games with very little rest, we certainly proved many doubters wrong.

When the media ask if I expected this kind of season, I say with a smile, “absolutely.” We grew as a team from last year and winning the MLS Cup surely gave us confidence going into this season. We knew even with a target on our back and high expectations, that we had to prove everybody wrong that thought last year’s MLS Cup was a fluke.

We ALL believe in our team and know what we’re capable of, so tonight we will give it all we have to give you fans the Supports Shield! We owe this to you… the supporters who follow us, cheer for us, drink for/with us, care for us, lives for us, and believe in us.

I’m talking about every single fan that has graced Rio Tinto Stadium, any restaurant or bar that puts our game on and all the supporters groups that sing, wave flags and even tattoo our signatures on them.  You guys are truly AMAZING and WE thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being the best fans in MLS!

Colorado is going to be a tough match but like I said we’ll give it everything we have and hopefully come Sunday the Shield will be in Sandy, UT.

Cant wait to see DSG look like the Riot tonight.

THE COMPLEX’S HOTTEST FAN CONTEST

7 10 2010

On Monday night, I will be down at The Complex as one of the judges for their first-ever Hottest Fans Contest and some Monday Night Football.

The Complex is a brand new entertainment and concert venue that is owned and operated by the same people who run Saltair.  It has three different-sized rooms for concerts and shows, a number of lounges, VIP areas, and two bars.

The Vikings vs. Jets Monday Night Football game kicks off at 6:30pm and the contest will start at half-time.  A bunch of girls will strut their stuff on stage in their favorite team’s jerseys competing for some cash and other prizes.  Come down, say hey, and cheer on whoever you like best!

The Complex is located at 536 W. 100 S. in Salt Lake City, just one block west of The Gateway Mall.  You can also check them out on their website at www.TheComplexSLC.com.  You must be 21 years-old to enter, so make sure you remember to bring your i.d.!

If you’re looking for something to do on Monday night, come down to The Complex at 6:30pm!  See you all there.

NIMH TWITTER BACKGROUND

1 08 2010

Hey Twitter fans, are you getting a little tired of seeing the same basic background themes for your profile pages?

I just put the background image at the bottom of this post up on my Twitter page and it looks pretty dope.  I had it custom designed for me to rep for RSL and your homeboy.  If you want to put it up on your wall too, click the image below.  After it opens up into a new window, right click it and save it to your desktop.

Then, go into your Twitter account and click ‘Settings.’  After the settings options open up, click ‘design’ and then just scroll down until you see where it says ‘change background image.’  Click browse to find the image and save your changes.

If you want to follow updates and get some inside looks at stuff you otherwise can’t see, follow me on Facebook and Twitter.  Also, make sure you follow Kyle Beckerman, Tony Beltran, Andy Williams, and Chris Wingert.

LIVE FROM ALL-STAR WEEK IN HOUSTON

26 07 2010

Well, All-Star week has officially begun. We got in yesterday evening and just hung out at the hotel.  At dinner, I introduced both Javi and Olave to Benihanas who were going for their first time, and needless to say, their plates didn’t need a washing.

This morning, we had a light training in the morning that consisted of some 5 vs. 2 games, some jogging, and light shooting. After practice, we grabbed  lunch and everyone had their own individual appearances to go to. I had to do an All-Star press conference with Dominic Kinner and Schetto.  Later on, we were joined by Ryan giggs and Sir Alex Fergusson.

The appearance was followed by a quick nap and then it was off to my VW appearance to play and interact with the kids at a local park in Houston.

Now it’s finally dinner and off to the All-Star Kick-Off party. Thanks again for all your votes! I can’t wait til Wednesday when we take on Manchester United.  Make sure that you all tune in!

NEW HOMEBOY SHIRTS ARE IN

23 07 2010

The shirts are in!  I made a limited amount of these shirts so make sure to stop by Carnival Real to pick yours up. The booth will be on the east side of Carnival Real.  Carnival Real starts at 6pm and will run till kick-off at 8pm.

Thanks for all of your votes that helped send me to Houston for the 2010 All-Star game!  I’m stoked for the chance to represent Real Salt Lake and play against EPL powerhouse Manchester United.  You can pick up the shirts for just $20 a piece while they last, but once they’re gone, they’re gone.

Also, if you pick up a “100 shirt” or an “All-Star shirt,” you can get a Nick Is My Homeboy shirt for just $10.

If you guys don’t already have tickets, hurry and snag them now.  Less than 300 tickets remain for tomorrow night’s match against Chivas USA.
