CALLED UP TO THE USA NATIONAL TEAM

3 01 2010

Well the off-season is officially over! Tomorrow, I will be heading down to Carson, CA to report to camp. I recently was called up to the USA Men’s National Team and will be training at the Home Depot center from Jan 4 through Jan 23.

It has been quite some time since I’ve worn U.S. colors . I am thus looking forward for the opportunity to do so.

My goal is to make the roster for the USA vs. Honduras match on the 23rd, but also to go and have fun, relax, and be myself. Ultimately, I want to play as well as I can to give myself the best opportunity to make it to South Africa.

Its always tough going to a new team for the first couple of days, but I’m stoked to have both Robbie Findley and Kyle Beckerman to hang with.

While I’m out there, I will update my blog with pics from camp, so make sure to tune into www.nickismyhomeboy.com!

Congrats Nick! I’m going to be at the game on the 23rd so that would be awesome if you, kyle and robbie were all on the field! Good luck at camp.

This is awesome! It’s a well deserved call up. You can bring home the cup for the country just like you did for us here in Salt Lake!
